WARRANTY STATEMENT

FOR DTS TURBO SYSTEM FITTED TO A NEW VEHICLE

IE Still Under OEM Warranty

In a case where a vehicle manufacturer refuses its new vehicle warranty, because the said OEM has proved beyond doubt that the DTS TURBO SYSTEM caused the failure of an engine or driveline component, after the system was fitted by an MTQ Engine Systems Branch or an authorized distributor/dealer to the said vehicle, MTQ Engine Systems (Aust) Pty Ltd hereby assume responsibility for such warranty.

The engine and driveline is defined as engine and transmission components excluding any attached ancillaries which may or may not be mounted on the same, This warranty is limited by the same factors and conditions which apply to the OEMs warranty statement.

NOTE: Particular attention MUST be paid the vehicle manufactures statements regarding TOWING, VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION, with regard to maintaining warranty coverage.

A grade of oil specified as suitable for turbocharger operation, by the oil manufacture is to be used in the vehicle at all times.Oil change intervals to be maintained at each 5000 kilometres.

NO WARRANTY WILL BE GIVEN UNLESS SYSTEM IS FITTED BY A DTS AUTHORISED INSTALLER, NO WARRANTY ON CLUTCH ASSEMBLIES UNLESS SUPPLIED BY DTS

FOR DTS TURBO SYSTEM FITTED TO A USED VEHICLE

IE Vehicles no longer covered by OEM Warranty

DTS TURBO SYSTEMS warrants to the owner that it will repair, replace or adjust for free of charge any part of the DTS TURBO SYSTEM that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship after use for a period of twelve (12) months or 20 000 kilometres which ever occurs first, provided the following conditions are met:

a. The part has not become defective as a result or consequence of the owners failure

i. Properly maintain, use or operate the turbo system in accordance with the instructions and recommendations and the capacity and operating limitations specified for the turbo system/vehicles by DTS TURBO SYSTEMS and the OEM

ii. To have the turbo system properly and punctually serviced with the instructions and recommendations specified for the DTS TURBO SYSTEMS

The turbo system/vehicle is, under normal circumstances, delivered at the owners expense, to an MTQ ENGINE SYSTEMS branch or authorised dealer/distributor for any warranty service as soon as possible after the need becomes apparent
To properly maintain boost settings and fuel pump settings as specified by DTS TURBO SYSTEMS

Unless DTS TURBO SYSTEMS expressly agrees, the DTS TURBO SYSTEM warranty will not be applied to any defect in, or that is attributable to or the use of any modification made to the turbo systems unless such modifications have been made by or at the direction of the DTS TURBO SYSTEM

NOTE: NO WARRANTY WILL BE GIVEN UNLESS KITS ARE FITTED BY AN MTQ ENGINE SYSTEMS BRANCH OR AUTHORISED INSTALLER

DTS TURBO SYSTEMS WARRANTY REPAIR PROCEDURE

Carry our all normal procedures as specified by the OEM

Contact the DTS TURBO SYSTEMS branch or authorised distributor where the kit was fitted by phone or fax. Give the installation date and mileage, current mileage, details of failure and estimated repair cost

If repair estimate is above $500.00 one of two steps will be authorised by DTS

ALL damaged components, both OEM and DTS to be returned to our Brisbane (Salisbury) Office

An inspection of damaged components to be carried out by an authorised DTS representative

After receipt of an order number authorising the repair, work is to be carried out as quickly and as practical as possible and then the vehicle is returned to the customer

Where only DTS parts are involved in the failure

Send detailed invoice including all parts and labour and authorization order number to DTS TURBO SYSTEMS MTQ ENGINE SYSTEMS Attn: Operations Manager PO Box 322 Acacia Ridge Q 4110. Labour will be paid at current warranty rates for your area and parts supplied F.O.C from DTS

Where OEM and DTS parts are involved in the failure

The claim is to be forwarded to the OEM by normal means, giving full details of DTS equipment fitted. If the OEM rejects the claim, it can be sent to DTS TURBO SYSTEMS at the above address with a copy of the OEMs rejection clearly showing the rejection officers name and reason for rejection

In the event of DTS TURBO SYSTEMS liability, the repairer will be paid within thirty (30) days of statement date direct to the repairer.
